Checking Account Deals

checking or saving account, promotions and 100$?

hey! guys! i don`t know much about it. every time when i read about these things it`s just confused me more! i want to open an account in GA bank. not any bank but with promotion so they can put 100$ on my account. i don`t want to have any fees for my account, and i don`t want to have an exact amount every month (or at least couple hundred dollars ). i need this account so i can trunsfer small amount of money to my parents to other country! i tried to google and it seems it is too much info to read. maybe if someone knows about this promotions could help me a little bit so i can be spacific. they report the $100 to the IRS as income and they usually get their money back in service charges. how are they going to charge me for service if there is no charges at all- no monthly no annual fees. i canunderstand if they charge me something for transfering ( withdrawing money in other country). probably i have to find out how do they charge for using ATM in my parets` country. i dl ike to use like Region bank, suntrust or maybe bank of america

  2. they report the $100 to the IRS as income and they usually get their money back in service charges. Look for a free checking account with very little or no balance requirements. Stay away from these promo accounts. You might want to check in advance about transfer fees to another bank so there will be no surprises for you on your first statement.
  3. What is the name of the bank? You can check bankrate.com for high yield savings accounts with no fees and minimum balances.
  4. the $100 is usually sent to the IRS as your interest income and most of the bank require a direct deposit before they put that amount into your account.many bank has this kind of offer, like chase.
